Meet The Computer Center Staff
With over 20 years experience in the computer industry, James purchased The Computer Center from its founder Paul Braun after being an employee for 10 years. His background has included computer sales, repair and classroom instruction. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Beloit College. He remains a resident of Janesville, with his wife and two daughters.
Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Jason studied Engineering and Technical Communication at Michigan Technological University. While there, he found his true calling helping friends and family solve their computer problems. With over a decade of experience, Jason has been working at The Computer Center for five years. He started out at Help Desk, then became the Trainer for new Help Desk Employees & is currently in school, getting the certification for becoming a Network Engineer. Jason currently lives in Janesville.
Director of Operations
As the Director of Operations, Kelly wears many hats including Human Resources, Dispatch, Scheduling, and Purchasing and Receiving (just to name a few). Kelly has multiple college degrees, including a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Upper Iowa University. She has worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys preparing for mini-marathons and spending time with her daughter. She currently lives in Janesville with her daughter, Kadence
Gary is a member of our Help Desk team. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Management Computer Systems from UW-Whitewater, with experience in software design and application support. Gary has over six years of experience with Business Operations & Customer Service with a major auto parts company, as well. From 1988-1992, Gary served in the US Navy, onboard the USS America (CV-66). Gary has been a Janesville resident for over 30 years and is a father of four; two boys & two girls.
LaFonda has a strong background in computer technology, being A+ certified as well as being certified from Blackhawk Technical College with desktop support and has completed an Associate’s Degree in IT Network Specialist. She is working towards completing her M.B.A in Information Technology and Network Security all while pursuing her career with The Computer Center. LaFonda has 2 daughters, and enjoys coaching and spectating their sporting events.
With over 15 years of experience in customer facing roles, primarily in the software & technology sectors, Jim has been with us for about a year now. He is able to translate "geek speak" into terms that make sense to business owners, managers & end-users. Jim has done recent coursework in IT, but also has degrees in Economics and Business. In his spare time, Jim enjoys cooking, yard work and traveling with his family. He currently lives with his wife and son in the Rockford area.
